About our office:
In the mid 1970's, Farzan Shirazi MD erected Queens Women's Medical at 83-06 Queens Blvd, Elmhurst, NY 11373 as its founder.
At the turn of the millennium, his son, Michael Shirazi MD changed the name of the office to better reflect the practice as serving both Men & Women.
2007 saw the renovation of our 2nd location on 124 East 40th street in Manhattan.
Both doctors realize that it is their privilege to serve you. They extend this notion of excellent costumer service to the entire staff. We understand you have a choice to see a specific doctor and we welcome your choice with attentive, respectful care.
Our office actually consists of 2 practices. A separate Internal Medicine practice for both men and women and a separate Gynecologic service for women only.
Most patients are not seen for STD testing. We are not an STD Clinic. We are a private medical office with doctors who are experts in STDs. Both doctors are involved in the routine care of their patients, usually unrelated to STDs. For example, Michael Shirazi MD is a Board Certified Internist who serves his patients as a primary care physician for problems such as chest pain, asthma, arthritis, smoking cessation, respiratory infections, etc. Farzan Shirazi MD, cares for his patients through primary gynecologic care by performing pap smears, managing abnormal pap smears, managing menstruation problems, birth control, infertility, vaginal discharge/odor, pelvic pain etc. However, both doctors are also at the forefront in knowledge about sexually transmitted diseases.
